Used cartridges do not carry any warranty and 3M does not guarantee the life of cartridges in terms of months or liters of water used. Under ideal conditions, the life of the cartridges will vary from 6 to 12 months for single-home usage.
    Why do I need to protect the system from sunlight?
    Scale Prevention Systems have a transparent housing for easy viewing of cartridges. It is essential to cover the systems to avoid direct sunlight else it may lead to algae formation. Algae formation can cause irreversible damage to the cartridge and can reduce its life considerably.
    How many systems do I need to install for my entire home?
    It depends on the number of input lines available at home. Typically, every bathroom will need one individual system unless a common input water line is available for installation. It will also depends upon flow rate requirements. Detailed information on this will be provided during the site visit by 3M Authorised representative.
    Can I drink water directly from the systems installed or Do I still need a dedicated drinking water system?
    The Scale Prevention and 3M Whole House Sediment Filtration System are not drinking water systems. These systems do not remove microbial contaminations from water. For Drinking water consumption, we recommend the installation of dedicated drinking water systems or safe kitchen systems.

    What you notice in your bathrooms may not be scaling. These may be water marks. Water marks might still be formed but can be cleaned easily. This is not scale formation and these marks can be removed using lemon or vinegar. Scaling is tough to remove and spoils the shine of bathroom fixtures and tiles. Watermarks are residues of soap/salt etc. on the fixtures and can be easily cleaned.
